2008 Pittsburgh Boat Show Is Super
Monday, February 04, 2008
By the evening of Sunday, February 3 most people were intently watching the Giants upset the Patriots in the Super Bowl and many were happy with the outcome. But Sunday also marked the end of the 2008 Pittsburgh Boat Show and, like the Super Bowl, pretty much everyone was happy with the outcome.
“The turnout on the second Sunday of the show is usually bad because of the Super Bowl. But this year attendance was way up,” said Ed Crognale from P & L Boat Sales, a Four Winns Dealer in Pittsburgh. A strong showing on the final day really seemed to help boost the overall view on the boat show.
“Although the overall turn out seemed to be pretty much the same from last year, sales were way up this year compared to last year,” added Mr. Crognale.
In addition to many of the dealers being satisfied with the show, there also seemed to be many boaters and future boaters that enjoyed the show and found the information they needed.
The BoatPittsburgh.com booth also saw a lot of action during both weekends. Once again the BoatPittsburgh Girls were a big hit as they talked to show goers each Saturday night. The Cruzin’ Coolers and T-shirts that are available in the Ship’s Store also seemed to draw a good bit of attention from all of those that walked by.
For those that stopped by to say hi and signed up for our new e-mail newsletter, we greatly appreciate the suggestions and kind words. It was great meeting so many people that share the same passion as we do at BoatPittsburgh.com.
Last but not least we can’t forget to announce the winner of our BoatPittsburgh.com Boat Show Prize Pack. Drum roll please……
Congratualtions to Gary Barkhurst of Cranbery Township. Gary was the winner of a $40 Get Go Gift Card and his and hers BoatPittsburgh.com T-Shirts. A special thanks goes out to all that signed up for the contest and made this year’s boat show a super success.
