Registration Closed; Tickets/Dockage Still Available Saturday
Monday, August 02, 2010

The extended registration for the 2010 Rockin’ the River Boaters’ Bash for Charity is now closed.  But don’t worry if you didn’t get to sign up and would still like to attend, there are still plenty ways to be a part of this great event.

There will be a limited amount of tickets available the day of the event.  A buffet dinner, t-shirt, dockage, complimentary door prize and Chinese auction tickets will all be available the day of the event for the donation of $30 per person.  These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and we are limited to the t-shirt sizes that are available.  Stop at the registration tent down the steps from Bettis’ 36 Grille to register.

Once tickets are sold out on the day of the event you can still come by car or boat to check out the concert by Sean West and the Poets and Pirates Band with special guest the Vagrants.  All that we ask is for people to make a donation to the 32º Learning Center for Children with Dyslexia. Volunteers will be taking collections before and during the show.  For those coming by boat, there will be limited dockage available for a $20 donation while space is available.

Whether you come by land or water, we hope that you make a stop on Saturday and see all that our event has to offer.  Fox Chapel Marine will have new boats on display including a new Sea Ray 310 Sundancer with the revolutionary Mercruiser Axius joy stick drive system.  All afternoon they will be offering demonstrations of this latest technologocial advancement.  You can also check out new a new tow vehicle or the new cars on display from Century 3 Chevrolet, Century 3 Kia, Monroeville Dodge and Monroeville Kia/Mazda.  Lastly, don’t forget about all of the great prizes up for bid at the Chinese auction.  Some prizes include an autographed Evgeni Malkin hockey stick, football autographed by Mike Tomilin, football autographed by Joe Paterno and a guitar autographed by country music star Gary Allen.  These are just a few of the great items up for bid; visit this link for a complete listing of items.

FOR THOSE ALREADY REGISTERED:  You will not receive tickets in the mail – please just register at the registration tent Saturday morning.  You will receive a registration packet with wrist bands, tickets, etc. and gift bags with the t-shirts for each of the “tickets” you purchased.  If you are coming by boat please call the Dockmaster on VHF channel 68 and let them know you have already preregistered.  They will request some information about your vessel and the duration of you stay before assigning your dock spot.  Remember, we will do our best to honor all special requests related to dockage, but we must match boats up according to size and arrival/departure times.
