Pirates of the Point Parade
Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Captain Jack Sparrow and his pirates can have the Caribbean because he is no match for the first ever gathering of the “Pirates of the Point!” Come join us on June 28 as the finest pirates on the Three Rivers join together for the "Pirates of the Point" Boat Parade, co-sponsored by BarSmart.com and BoatPittsburgh.com.
For those coming from up on the Allegheny River, the tour will start at the Baja Bar and Grill on Friday evening prior to the event. This pre-party will hopefully set the stage for a day of piracy on the waters of Pittsburgh.
The event will then kick-off on Saturday at Redfin Blues located at Washington’s Landing. After our stop there we will proceed to the Sandbar at Sandcastle where we will be sure to take no prisoners! From the Sandbar we will trek back down the Monongahela River to Bar Louie located at Station Square. Once we are through pillaging, the parade will then head to our final destination, the North Shore. Calico Jacks and McFadden's will be the final stops on our search for treasures.
There will be door prizes and for those needing inspiration to dress up, there will be prizes for Best Pirates Costumes. In addition, dockage at Station Square, drink specials at each of the stops and souvenir cups are all included with the $15 registration fee.
Please e-mail us if you would like more information on overnight dockage Friday night at Fox Chapel.
Proceeds benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society - Allegheny District Chapter. For more details and to register, please visit BoatPittsburgh.com/charity.
We look forward to seeing you there, matey!
