Destination Criteria:
Heinz Field
Allegheny River | Pittsburgh Pool | Mile: 0.1
The Skinny:
A great place to stop for a mid-summer concert or late August Steeler game.
The Real Deal:Space is limited during events due to large mooring posts. If you want a spot on the wall (as opposed to voluntary rafting off) you better be there early before games and concerts. You can also grab a bite to eat at Bettis Grille 36 or dance at one of the clubs next door. Rivers Casino and Carnegie Science Center are less than a 5 minute walk. Located in no wake zone on weekends.
Access To:Just the Facts:- Wall dockage with cleats.
- First come first serve.
- Free docking.
- Restrictions during events. Check for updates.
PNC Park
Allegheny River | Pittsburgh Pool | Mile: 0.3
The Skinny:
America’s pastime, great food, fireworks, and even a splash of nightlife.
The Real Deal:Tie up for easy access to Pirate games, restaurants and clubs. Like Heinz Field, if you want a spot on the wall you better be there early before any special events. However, there is usually plenty of room during normal games. If you are from out of town and need a break from the water, a hotel is nearby. Located in no wake zone on weekends, but if you go to a game during the week you better bring big fenders because the water can get a little rough from the river traffic.
Access To:Just the Facts:- Wall dockage with mooring rings on wall sides.
- First come first serve.

The Real Deal:
The Mariner is the only public place to stop and have some food and drink between Verona and Brady's Bend. Just because there isn't any competition doesn't mean it isn't top notch. It's been a while since I was there, but I have nothing but fond memories of the good food and good times we had there after a day at The Cove.
