I am looking for old houseboats that have been completely and thoroughly re-done and are in good shape as the subject for possible magazine articles. I will be in Pittsburgh Mar. 7-10. Thanks 309-781-6494.

Sounds like a good article, I will be trying to think of some good candidates. Mine may or may not be old enough but it certainly is not re-done enough.
You may have trouble if you want to take pictures etc since it is winter and lots of boats are pulled or shrink wrapped etc.
The pictures we really need are ones taken during the rehab process. Others I can take later. The key is the right old boat, lots of work and lots of photos showing the stages.

Gary - I have two boats in mind but not sure either one will fit your needs. One is a 1990 (scary to think that is now over 20 years old) 67' Pluckebaum completely refinished inside with all custom woodwork and the other is an old 55' Kingscraft that the guy built a completely new structure on top of the hull - but it is only about 85% complete. I know they have pics of the Pluckebaum but I am not sure about the Kingscraft.
The Pluckie is probably not old enough but the Kingscraft could be of interest. Actually, Pluckebaum is currently re-doing one from the early 70s. Do you have any more details or a contact conerning the KingscraftThanks
