    Default Replace tinted windows

I posted in the general topics about looking for the sheet of tinted lexan.
I got a sheet and removed the old windows and made a new one.
There seemed to be some interest there, so in case anyone is interested, here are some pics.
I changed the shapes to update the look of the boat.
Hope this helps, feel free to contact me if u have any questions about this, it wasnt all that hard to do.

Hope it helps someone, I know that these are particularly bad on older Bayliners.

i'm about to do this with my boat. what caulking did you use? 4200? also what double adhesive tape did you get?

I actually am going thru Omni Glass over in Turtle creek. I gave them patterns and they are cutting them for me. should be getting them in a few days. though could be weeks before I install if the weather continues the way it is.

From what I have read there is debate on this issue.
I used, 3m double sided adhesive auto moulding tape. That is what was on the boat when I took them off. I assume that was how they were attached factory as its what was on there when I pulled them off.. could still see the 3m logo in the tape. I got it from West Penn Laco.
I sealed them with adhesive silicone.. home depot. I went down to the boat shop on Northshore to get the caulking and they told me to use regular silicone as the marine adhesives may not flex enough. Also read about people using them and their windows cracking because of not enough flex.
Of course time will tell on this to see how they weather the seasons.
