    Default Aluminum welder?

I broke off my skeg on the 85 force. Got a replacement, but need a guy to TIG it back on. Any local, good, cheap welders? I have a guy from work who welds for us, he would do it free, but is out of town for 3 weeks. help?

If you have a guy who can weld it for free i would just wait cause the way the 15 day forecast looks (all Rain every single day) and the fact the rivers are a mess and will be as it keeps raining you wont be able to use your boat with out ripping a skeg off again for 3 weeks anyway. But if you are in a rush Bill at Pittsburgh Propeller welds/fixes aluminum props so i am sure he knows how to weld alum skegs

thanks. I saw that the skeg had been body puttied, so a half-assed repair was done be4 i bought this boat. The power trim was dead, so I manually lowered it. But the water was high at loyalhanna, and caught the concrete pad. My bad. new skeg is only 25 bucks. Loyalhanna was closed again today. Not looking like i will get the spawning bass this year.

Good and cheap does not go together in the same sentence. You either want one that is good and fair priced, or someone that is cheap, and probably does not know what he is doing. You only get what you pay for.
Triangle welding has a good reputation, give them a call.

well put,G. Thats all i want. i know a few welders who wont fire up a welder for less than 100 dollars. I will pay a fair price for his time and experience. My guy called in today, and will do it next week.
