Good evening all,
I got a 93 mercury tracker pro series 60 0G013546 on my bass buggy toon.
i just started up this year. and was trying to fix a little leak off my top carb with a cable tie (was dripin)
when snap i busted a little 90 degree gas line fitting that enters the top carb body.
ill have to dig it out. it comes from some kind of selinoid (looks like the line recirculates excess fuel back around) not sure.
anyway while looking online i descovered several things.
1 NO MANUAL FOR THE MERC TRACKER( IS THIS THE SAME AS THE MERC?)
2 THIS IS THE TOP CARB OF 3 AND ONLY ONE WITH THE FITTING
3 LOOKED AT MERC.COM ,AND IBOATS.COM CANT FIND THE FITTING ON ANY
DIAGRAM
i can usually figure this stuff out just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas about the part or even the manual
i figure on stopping by the newly moved midway marine as well as west marine to try to mach this part.
i have been watching this sight for a few years and learned quite a bit from the members
glad to finally be a member.
thanks in advance
and happy fathers day
i hope everyone has smooth sailing
LIL BUGGY
good morning all,
well it looks like i struck out with west marine.
the guys down at midway were helpful but couldn't find it on the schematics either.
(off topic) they were busy at their new loacation and their docks are in.good to see them
they referred me to rt. 8 marine. no luck yet with a callback.
anyone have any ideas?
happy fathers day all.
well i heard from rt 8 marine, they seem great.
not on their diagram either however they r gonna try to match somthing up for me.
turns out its an enrichener no choke on this model.(squirts a little fuel into the top carb). i guess i am used to the older moters.
musta been overlooked by the mechanics that put the schematics together.
still not sure about the manual they may have an answer for me we'll see.
smooth sailing to all
happy dads day to all
got he upper carb bowl off today,
now i got both broken pieces in hand.
gonna make something work tues.
i will be in the water soon!
cant wait. i gotta make this happen!
gotta get the right manual though.
any suggestions would be appretiated.
smooth sailing to all
Good luck with that. It seems like you found something thats pretty rare that not many have run into. Thanks for keeping us posted incase someone in the future has the same problem.
thanks grantz,
a bud of mine referred me to margettics outboard in newbrighton.
although outa the way once i got there i was impressed.
lots of boats
clean wide open facility, lots of machines, late hours.
and greatest of all excellent customer service.
he took the time to figure out a solution. adapted a fitting that would work and had the equiptment (Press) to complete the job.
all in about 5 minuetes. i was impressed!!!!!!
it is hard to find a mechanic that will spend the time on those quirky little problems that pop out.
i like to turn my own wrench but sometimes i just scratch my head!
ya know finding a reasonably priced mechanic that you can trust with a great attitude is not easy to find.
i gotta pass it on
so i have to give so i am putting in tomorrow morning. priceless.
stopped by the slip on the way home it is ready to recieve its summertime friend.
smooth sailing to all
