Sorry for the late response... I just looked on the Coast Guard website and they do not list any river closures other than the ones listed at the point (except one closure in Wellsburg, WV for fireworks). I believe the only time they set up safety zones on the river is when the fireworks are being shot from a barge on the water.

    thanks Grantz dont be sorry.
i called the bridgewater municipal building the tuesday and the clerk there said that she wasn't sure what the coast guard was gonna do she added that she probaly shoulda called before to let them know.
i will call back in the morning to get an update.

she did however let me know that the fireworks were after 930 but added they arent always on time.
she did make it sound like it was going to be over the water at the confluence where that park is located(i guess i was assuming from barges)
i heard two or years ago they had a nice show and they utilized one of the bridges to make a niagra falls fountian.
since i had started docking on the beaver last year i am not aware of the size of the show.

we would really like to make the trip to the point for the fourth also
however the last time i locked thru it was from a tow boat many years ago.
i havent done so in a smaller craft.

i hope you as well as everyone has a safe 4th
    smooth sailing to all
and a special thanks to the military for allowing us to enjoy the freedom they risk their lives for

i will post updates as i hear them

Safety zone is between the three bridges (Monaca) and the two railroad bridges. Rriver closure approximately.1 hour before and 1 hour after. This came from the Beaver County Emergancy Management.

i am 1 mile from the mouth,
do the boats bottle up under the railroad bridge on the beaver?
    just thinkin of possibilities.
    besides your dock
wheres my best shot at gettin a good look?
do they allow use of those curtousy docks that no one is ever on,
    but the fisherman
the monaca bridge seems far away
my marinas having a party n some fireworks also but i wana see the big ones.
ill probably do a little of both.
hope you have a good safe 4th
