the wife and i were fishing yesterday and i caught this (turtle) in the ohio river .
i know the pics are bad but thats what i got.
i have seen plenty of snapping turtles in the ohio river but this is the first i have seen of something like this
realatively softer shell very round its head reminded me of a garter snake
but its feet looked like a sea turtle
and that sucker moved across my deck so fast when i set it down
its mouth didnt look sharp at all like a snappers
weird i tell ya
ive been fishing for decades in this river and never saw anything like it.
if anyone has any ideas let me know.
the wife got a triple play smallmouth,sauger, and channelcat
i got this wierd turtle n a shovelhead cat

i think u got it. very similar but the back had no dots discription was the same
