    pulled boat yesterday,
    off for repairs and winterazation
    BOAT break out another thousand

    lets all hope for;
    a short winter
    cheap fixes and upgrades
    and most of all
a trouble free year next year

ill let you all know how i make out,
and what exactly is wrong and the resolve
seems like when i said (the boat will soon realize i am more stubborn than it)
    it crushed me

    thanks again to all

so to revisit my old thread,

    problems,
    overheat
    running different wot at times
    trouble shifting
    noise in outdrive

    answer
lots of valves tuliped (redone) and redecked
wristpins tight on a few pistons
    main bearings not 100%
worn and leaking oil ring on one piston
water scoring in 2 different cyl

    resolve
    remanned engine ground up

    outdrive noise
when i bought my second outdrive it seems as if the retainer ring on the u joints wasnt tight (i didnt check)
it worked lose and pow its now garbage, it managed to get water thru the lower unit asswell
ohh and at time of teardown i also noticed it was the wrong gearing
    so to review outdrives....

    old outdrive clutchdog went
thats when i noticed the cavitation plate was missing (mount for the annode was non exsistent) spent some time like this evident by the pitting on entire drive

    newer outdrive,
    upper trashed,
lower ok although did have that muddy water in it

so my resolve is coming soon
old upper outdrive good, will be mated to newer lower unit(once inspected and reworked)
as well as new lower shift cable

while you guys were trying to help me get the right prop
i was giving you back info on two different sets of gearing

i've relearned the lesson (dont buy a boat wet)
and had the most trouble with any boat ive owned with this one
upside is that i understand a whole lots more about i/o's
and ill be ready to go this spring
so i may get back into the propping question in early spring
but this time with lots of knowledge

thanks all for all your support
    and for the replies
