Temperature Sensor for Heads

I just recently replaced a head on my boat cause it was cracked, and I was
told the temperature may have gotten too hot, and that was why it cracked.
Does anyone know of a good temperature guage to put on the head to keep
track of the temperature.

Isn't there one mounted on your dash?

I would run it some, and then shoot it with an infrared gauge if you were wanting the temp.
