    Default Repair missing cover snaps

I am missing more of my boat cover snaps that I care to count. What is the best way to replace missing snaps in the fiberglass. Do I try to fill in the hole and just try to put a new screw in? Do I try to glue the hole while putting in the screw? Any ideas?

as far as the snaps go,
jo-ann fabrics has the snaps with a hole that u run the screw in thru(use stainless screws)
if the holes are loose you either have to go bigger with the screw or partially fill to get tight fit, i suggest push in plastic drywall inserts(to screw into) always use sealant.

if its in the cover you could buy a kit to replace the missing or broken snaps(contains a little rivet like pounding tool) works great
in any event good luck with the project.
keep us posted on your results.

Marine Tex, which is a white two part epoxy works great for filling those small holes. It dries hard, is water proof and can be drilled when cured. It is available at West Marine and online.
