Docking in the Pittsburgh pool is the Greatest.. You stop down after work and have a great view. You can get to anywhere pretty fast. You can also find alot of places to be alone and anchor off. Worth the extra money!!!!
Well, after going back and forth a few times, I've ultimately decided the Pittsburgh Pool makes the most sense for me. I heavily considered McKees Point, but I came to the conclusion that gas, locking through and distance from my house were big enough factors to pay the extra premium up front and dock where I'm most familiar.
In addition, I've spoken to Peggy a few times and I'm leaning towards her marina. Any current members have any additional input specific to Peggy's? I can't wait until the season starts! Thanks again for all commentary.
We have been at Peggy's for years and have nothing but good things to say. As I said before Peggy, her family and staff are all great people that make you feel at home. They have a great mechanic who is honest, fair and is a super good guy. Fuel, ice and two batrooms with showers on site. She is always watchful over the marina and boats. Last note is the location is geat, you can get to the north shore in minutes and have great sunsets from the marina.
