I have a wellcraft nova spyder with a 550hp 454 stroked to 489, big valves ported heads, headers, custom ground camshaft with the firing order changed, DUI ign system etc etc. The only thing stock on the motor is the block, alt and starter
Nice Skater. Dont see too many cats running around the rivers here. Saw a few different boats around this weekend for the Fox Chapel Run. Only regular cat is a blue and white HTM 24.

I have to rephrase this now It is a 454 stroked to 496- custom grind comp cam with changed firing order, DUI ign; a complete -12 oil lines and cooler with an K&N hp 5001 oil filter (aeroquip) a seperate pwr steering cooler; revolution marine exhaust no-mufflers; larger oval ported heads 2.25 in/ 1.88 ex ferra valves; with 11/32 stems; currently running an eldelbrock rpm-air-gap intake with a 1" spacer and a 750 eldelbrock carb; Have an 850 sea demon and a Team G intake ready to bolt on.
So what kinds of speeds are you hitting with the new settup?? Any pics? I thought about modifying my engine while it was getting tuned up this year, but Im just gonna hang onto the money towards a bigger faster boat.
I really don't about top speed yet, I am still breaking it in I only have 3 hours on the motor. It does pull really hard low and midrange, it is unbeliveble, it just sucks you back in the seat. I know I can just slip the prop with ease from about 3500 up and it is a bravo 1 labbed 4-blade. I will do more testing and post results let me figure out how to resize my pictures and I will post

The HTM docks up in my pool on the allegheny along with several other go-fast boats.

She will run with 80 gal of gas 5 people 71mph on gps turning a labbed bravo1 24 pitch 4 blade. It turns 5350rpm WOT. I think that is pretty good for a heavy boat.
