$8000 Tax credit applies to Houseboats

Just thought I would put this out. The $8000 tax credit for 2009 for first time house owners also applies to Houseboats! At least there is some good coming out Office.

that is a pretty cool thing to know. I assume it falls under that category the same way it does for second/vacation homes when it comes to deducting mortgage interest on your taxes.

It must be your primary residence. You cannot own any other home for three years prior to 2009.
Second homes do not qualify.

you mean for the 8000 tax credit? Yea I guess that would make sense since it is for 1st time home owners so if you already own a home no go...
