    Default Inside hull transducer

Has anyone ever had problems with the transducer for their depth finder epoxyed in the hull. I am thinking of going this route with my boat.

Depends on what the hull is made of. A cored hull will not work with a shoot thru transducer.
Here is how to check. Take fuse out of your bilge pump, and get about 4 inches of water in the bottom. Lay your new transducer in the water, and see if it works. Try different spots.
Once you find out it will work, get rid of the water, clean area real good, using alcohol, than epoxy the transducer in. Make sure you get every air bubble out of the epoxy, or you will get false readings. Good luck.

Not a good idea to guess. Should make sure it works before you epoxy it. No turning back if you make a mistake.
