    Default Did it Again!

We bought another boat. A 40' steel hull River Queen. This means we will be making the return trip to Beaver on the Chris Craft in the spring! The plan is to leave the River Queen here, and do the seasonal snowbird commute. See the pics in my album.

Soooo...... this was almost the coldest winter on record for Fulton, MS. The Tenn-Tom froze over, tow boats were breaking ice, and we were froze in.... (with no bubbler~you're welcome Mark!) At least the ice pack was only 3" thick not 12", and we had the experience and know how to winterize the engines...some here did not, and NOW they are finding out blocks are cracked and engines are ruined because of it. One sailboat sank because the engine block cracked and the seacock failed, double whammy for sure.
But on a lighter note, it's supposed to be @ 70 degrees for the next week and we can get more stuff done to Miss Nauti to get her ready for the long trip home. BeaverDave, I'm FINALLY going to get that nice weather!
I'll keep y'all posted on the trip home.

    Galleyslave,
Nice to hear you survived. I ended up buying the Maxum so I will be sitting on and watching the Beaver River for your return. Have a safe trip and I look forward to meeting you all when you return. I'll have one on ice waiting.

    CLO,

Congrats on the new boat! And I'll hold you to that one, on ice! (OMG I hope it's an IC Light! I'm Pittsburgh beer starved...) What are you going to name your boat?

No problem, a 'Burgh beer will be waiting. Well, to answer the question of naming the boat we have decided to leave the name on it currently since we really think it's fitting. The boats name is "Always Wine'n" and there 2 grape clusters in between the first and last name. The folks we bought the boat from are good friends and they love to make wine. Pretty good stuff actually. So they named the boat Always Wine'n, but of course when you get one of them away from the other then the name takes on a whole new meaning if you know what I mean.
