A freind of mine wants me to buy his 2003 Kawasawki 3 person PWC from him. It has under 20hrs on it and has been garaged kept. He wants $2000 as he has unfortunatley ran into financial trouble. I am not sure what size it is but he claims to have had it running about 60mph.

I have a personal rule not to buy anything from a friend or relative. (or personal loans). What happens when something breaks. I think no matter how good the relationship, it will strain it. With that said, take it for a test ride and decide for yourself. Me, I'd walk away.
