    Thumbs up Boaters Cookbook

Folks, I've had the pleasure of meeting Captain Sally Eckland, author of the book "Tin Can Magic". Sally and her husband Carl are both USCG licensed captains who have logged over 30,000 waterway miles. (that's some serious boating) Her cookbook has over 400 recipes utilizing canned and dry goods as well as some tips for long distance cruising. They frequently travel to the Bahamas and she provisions for a six month cruise. Thought I would share the e-bay link with you:

Hey galleyslave - just catching up some older posts I missed. That looks pretty cool! I always end up buying canned goods for the house boat in the spring and I feel like most of them end up coming home with me in the fall.. I guess we always end up bringing food, eating out or skipping meals altogether. Maybe this book would help utilize those items better.

She has some great recipes for canned goods, especially if you are doing serious traveling where you'll be staying on the hook.
