We live along the Ohio River near Louisville but last June my wife and I took a trip on the Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers. Click the link to see a brief log of the trip

We're heading your way sometime in May. We're leaving Midway on the Tenn-Tom and heading for homeport Bridgewater, PA on the Beaver River.

Great stuff! I give you guys credit for making the trip on an open boat. I don't think I could do it - but I can see how you got to see so much more than someone with a larger boat. Thanks for sharing that with us!

Great trip journal! Every year I find myself musing about a trip like yours, and never end up doing it, more power to you for following through.

    Galleyslave,
On a side note, I would love to see your trip documented this spring : )

    IronRoamer,

I will post updates during our return trip when I have internet available. If you haven't already read it, this is a link to the forum thread of our trip to Mississippi: http://www.boatpittsburgh.com/forums...polis-438.html

    Galleyslave,
Thanks! I actually stumbled upon your thread after replying to this one, what a great trip. Godspeed on your return trip.

I love your Chris 33', my first boat restoration was a 1963 35' Steel Roamer, it's a good brand with a great following. In fact, while reading your profile, I noticed you're from Bridgewater, on the Beaver River? I've done numerous classic (Mahogany and Glass) Century and Chris Craft cruises from the Miklos' marina on the Beaver River, down to WV. That's a great little spot you guys have carved out down there!
