check the lock schedule, as the last few locks are weekends only. not sure if they are daylight hours or not on holiday weekends.
we used to stay at two rivers, and commute from there during the day.

I will be camping at round bottom (one more lock up river) that weekend. You should stop by if you make the trip.

    Kyle,
Is that what Phil's Pools is called? I got the invite and if its doable by boat I would like to try. Else I will just drive.

Yeah, that's Phil's pool. I am going to have a mess of people up there that weekend. Should be a good time.

Fitzy keeps inviting me down to Phil's. One of these times I will take him up on the offer and drag my boat down via trailer. That is a long trip via the river. Have fun Kyle.

We did that trip last year with two other boats - but we made a week out of it. We had a blast. We stayed at Two Rivers Marina (MM 88.9) and then jumped on one boat for a day trip down to the West Fork River. Didn't quite make it because we had to make sure we could make it back before the locks closed. Keep in mind we were not flying by any means. The West Fork and the Tygart Rivers form the Mon at about MM 129.

Some of your questions are hard to answer because it all depends on what type of boat you are running and how fast you go. I was running my houseboat so we only would make about 10 -12 mph. Check your charts and calculate your distances and other factors. You can look at online charts by going here.

Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions. i'll do my best to answer them
