As a bonified Alarm and Camera dealer for over 30 years false alarms are generally caused by 2 things, user error and design issues. Installing alarms on a rocking structure is a bad idea for obvious reasons. When choosing an alarm be cautious of long term contracts for your monitoring. Long term contract work well in a warm climate but in a month or so your boat will be in most cases sitting in drydock. if you need some ideas drop me a note.
